Progressive Ribbon Type Fin Dies

Progressive Ribbon Type Fin Dies

Phinney fin dies are constructed of quality components designed for high accuracy, tight tolerances and exacting surface finishes.
This is ideal for the manufacture of fins using thinner prepainted and coated stocks. Enhancement tooling achieves tight tolerances and clearances
and is designed for long service life and the consistent forming of louvers or raised lances. Wear resistance packages allow for the use of abrasive coated fin stocks.
Gaggable stations perform static or within-stroke operations (Enhancement, Cropping, Notching).

Die features for ease of operation:

  • One-piece draw and reflare cams to produce consistent collars and reflare heights and diameters. This allows even stack heights and coil fabrication using exact fin counts.
  • Vernier-type calibrated or digital readout adjustments on the draw and reflare cams.
  • Calibrated cut-off fine adjustment feature for consistent and accurate placement of the final fin cut-off.
